3 Niagara Falls residents charged in human trafficking case

A human trafficking investigation in Niagara Falls has resulted in charges against three people. 

Niagara Regional Police began the investigation back in June and executed a warrant of a home in the Buckeye Crescent and Kalar Road area today, arresting three Niagara Falls residents. 

41 year old Kelly Downey, 43 year old Dameon Mcdonald and 18 year old Khaleil Mcdonald are all facing a variety of charges in connection to the case. 

All three are being held in custody pending a bail hearing set for tomorrow.

Through the course of the investigation, detectives have reason to believe that members of the public may have further information in relation to the alleged offences and that there may be more victims.

Kidnapping (2 Counts)
Trafficking in Persons by Recruiting
Forcible Confinement (2 Counts)

Dameon K. Mcdonald is charged with the following offences

Sexual Assault
Kidnapping (2 Counts)

Khaleil Mcdonald is charged with the following offences:

Kidnapping (2 Counts)
Possession of a Schedule 1 Substance (3 Counts)
