34 yr old Niagara Falls man arrested after suspicious devices found at Drummond Rd. home
A 34 year old man has been arrested after a disturbance at a home in Niagara Falls.
Police were called to the home at 9:45pm Monday in the area of Drummond Road and Barker Street following the report of a disturbance.
The K9 Unit located two suspicious devices, which prompted the response of the Emergency Task Unit and Explosive Disposal Unit out of an abundance of caution.
The home was secured by uniform officers while the investigation continued.
A subsequent investigation involving members of the Domestic Violence Unit resulted in the arrest of a man.
Today, with the assistance of the Explosive Disposal Unit, investigators executed a search warrant at the home.
No additional safety risks have been identified and the scene has since been released.
The 34 year old Niagara Falls man is facing charges including assault, possession of a prohibited weapon, and unlawful possession of explosives.
As this is being investigated as an incident of domestic violence, the name of the accused will not be released in the interest of protecting the identity of the victim.
