583 new cases of COVID-19 in Ontario

Ontario's Ministry of Health have confirmed 583 new cases of COVID-19.

173 of the new cases are in Toronto, with 121 in Ottawa, 75 in York Region, and 70 in Peel.

60% of today’s cases are in people under the age of 40. 

Along with the new cases, 707 more cases have been resolved, and one more person has died.

43,277 tests for the virus were completed in the last day, with 55,413 still under investigation.

There are a total of 55,945 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Ontario reported to date.
