All but about 40 homes in Port Colborne and Fort Erie have power back following windstorm


Most of people in Port Colborne and Fort Erie impacted by a power outage following last week's storm have the lights back on.

Canadian Niagara Power saying 37 customers are still without power.

Power was knocked out to thousands of Canadian Niagara Power customers on Halloween night as the gales howled through the region.

Although crews worked through the weekend, by this morning 80 users were still without power.

Director of Operations Barry Hogan says over 3000 more customers were disconnected briefly today as crews made additional repairs.

Officials with CNP are asking people still without power to call 1-844-501-WIRE.
