Burning and fireworks ban in place in Lincoln due to dry, hot weather
Lincoln is banning all open air fires and use of fireworks until further notice due to the extremely dry conditions and lack of precipitation.
All issued Open Air Fire Permits are hereby suspended until the open air fire ban is lifted.
Campgrounds will be allowed to have small open air fires strictly for the purposes of cooking only.
Open air burning and use of fireworks during these dry conditions increases the risk of the spread of fire and poses as serious threat to the safety of persons and property.
