Canadian Niagara Power calls in external help as more than 3,000 customers still without power
Thousands of people are still without power in the Fort Erie and Port Colborne area.
The latest update from Canadian Niagara Power says 3,300 customers are affected by the outage.
Crews continue to work and external crews have been called in to help out.
So far 14 poles will need to be replaced.
Still no estimate on full restoration time.
"When the (Niagara) Region took over waste management, we got the short end of the stick at first. When the Region started in transit, it was buying and running buses before it got the OK to do it. The same push is happening again with the airport … we need to push back and say no," said Welland City Councillor Theo Leo Van Vliet.
