Canadian Niagara Power investigating power outage in Port Colborne

CKTB - NEWS - Power Outage

Deja vu for some folks in Port Colborne as they're waking up in the dark again.

Officials with Canadian Niagara Power say they are investigating the cause of this morning's outage, affecting 1,600 customers.

Right now there is no estimated time of restoration.

This comes as crews worked through the weekend, including last night, to try and restore power to 80 customers that have been without hydro since Thursday's wind storm.

The storm initially knocked out power to thousands of Canadian Niagara Power customers.

For most little boys and girls, now is the time of year for dreaming about the surprises they might find under their tree on Christmas morning. For parents in tight financial situations, it's the time of year they wish they could make all their children's holiday dreams come true.

You can help by donating new, unwrapped toys to the City of St. Catharines' annual Tree of Little Angels campaign, which supports Community Care of St. Catharines and Thorold. Residents donated more than 500 toys to Community Care through the City's Tree of Little Angels campaign last year.
