Company contacting Welland homeowners on behalf of city for water meter upgrades
A technology company is contacting Welland homeowners in need of a water meter upgrade.
Officials with the city of Welland say Neptune Technology group is contacting homeowners by phone and mail to schedule the upgrade.
All Neptune employees will carry photo ID badges and all meter changes will be pre-scheduled.
There is no charge for the installation and it should take 30 - 90 minutes to complete.
City officials estimate 1,200 meters require the upgrade.
