Detectives seek witnesses after shooting in Niagara Falls
Niagara officers responded to a shooting incident on Chippawa Parkway between Daly Street and Norton Street, in Niagara Falls yesterday morning around 7am.
Officers learned an area resident was awoken to a 28 year old male knocking on their door complaining of having been shot.
Paramedics responded to the scene and transported the victim to an out-of-town trauma centre.
The victim remains in hospital at this time suffering from non-life threatening injuries.
Detectives believe this is a targeted incident and there is no threat to public safety.
Area residents are being asked to review their surveillance footage, and contact police with any information.
