Film crews roll in downtown St. Catharines
Downtown St. Catharines is getting another close-up today as crews prepare to begin filming along St. Paul Street.
The street will be closed between Carlisle Street and Queen Street and James Street will also be closed between King Street and St. Paul until Wednesday as cameras roll on a new Netflix movie 'Madam C.J. Walker.'
There will also be some traffic impact along Yates Street for filming at a private home.
The flick is centred on the American philanthropist and social activist played by Oscar winner Octavia Spencer.
The film packs quite a bit of star power with Tiffany Haddish, Carmen Ejogo, Blair Underwood, Garrett Morris and Kevin Carroll all reportedly attached to the film.
Businesses in the area are still open to foot traffic.
