Getting kids fit in Niagara
A pilot program has been launched in Niagara to help get kids fit.
Kid Fit pilot programs are launching this month at three YMCA of Niagara branches.
General Manager of Youth Outreach Daycamp and Membership with YMCA Niagara Erin Graybiel tells CKTB it's for kids aged 3-12.
It's offered once a week for 30-45 minutes depending on age for 8 weeks in total.
Graybiel says the goal is to get kids active while they are having fun.
If you would like to register your child, you can go to your local YMCA branch.
The program starts January 23rd.
It's being offered at the Niagara Falls, Walker Family (St.Catharines) and Niagara West (Grimsby) branches.
The program is supported by the Ontario Sport and Recreation Communities Fund.
