Grimsby rallies around family following summer tragedy
Grimsby will be rallying around a family who lost a dedicated husband and father this weekend.
A Fundraiser is being held at the Forty Public House Saturday night to help raise funds for the Martens family, following the death of 46 year old David Martens in Lake Ontario at the end of July.
Martens' car was found at the Beacon Harbour marina in Jordan July 27th and his body was found nearby on the shoreline days later.
The fundraiser on Saturday is raising money for Martens' wife and her three children aged 7-17.
The money raised from the event will be put towards a gofundme account which will help pay for the children's education.
