Here's what Niagara's new garbage trucks will look like
New companies, new trucks, a new schedule and now new branding for Niagara's waste management department.
The new slogan was unveiled today on collection vehicles at Miller Waste Systems' new facility in Niagara-on-the-Lake.
Miller along with GFL Environmental are taking over the job of picking up Niagara's curbside garbage, recycling and green bins next month.
The new branding replaces the “Re-think Your Waste” campaign, which has been in use for more than ten years.
The new 'Box it. Bin it. Sort it.' branding will cover all collection trucks as part of the effort to demonstrate that it’s worth the effort to recycle and compost for the sake of the environment.
Starting Oct. 19th garbage will be picked up every other week in Niagara, while recycling and green bins will still be picked up weekly.
