It's been 24 hours and hurricane Dorian remains stalled over the Bahamas.

That's left islanders struggling with flood waters and high winds clocked at 193 km/h.

Five people have died and Bahamian officials expect the death toll to rise.

Abaco and Grand Bahama islands are the hardest hit.

Prime Minister Hubert Minnis says the devastation is unprecedented and extensive.

Meanwhile, residents in Florida, Georgia and South Carolina are waiting to see which way Dorian will go.
