Impaired driving call ends with drug charges against a St. Catharines man

A St. Catharines man is facing impaired driving and drug charges.

Niagara Regional Police say they received a call around 10:30pm yesterday for a vehicle driving erratically and bumping into curbs.

Officers located and stopped the 2017 blue Volkswagon at Frank Street and Church Street in St. Catharines.

39 year old Daniel Denis Petrucci was arrested and charged with impaired driving.

Police searched the vehicle and found 65 grams of suspected Fentanyl and 32 suspected Benzodiazepine pills.

Petrucci also facing charges of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking - Fentanyl, and Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking - Benzodiazepine.
