More Ontario teachers' unions announce job action, OSSTF strike Wednesday will not affect Niagara
The union for teachers in the French system (AEFO) announcing today that their members begin a work-to-rule starting on Thursday.
This means that now all four of Ontario's major teacher unions have announced job action regarding the stalemate in contract talks with the provincial government.
The main issues being discussed are larger class sizes and mandatory online courses.
Next week Ontario's English Catholic teachers will hold a one-day strike affecting elementary and secondary schools, according to their union (OECTA).
Another round of rotating OSSTF strikes are happening Wednesday at some school boards across the province; Niagara schools will not be affected this time.
