Niagara College, Brock, and Niagara Falls getting $13M in funding for projects
The federal government making a $13 million dollar announcement in Niagara for three local projects.
Niagara Centre MP Vance Badawey, along with St.Catharines MP Chris Bittle making the announcement at Niagara College's Niagara-on-the-Lake campus.
The FedDev Ontario investments include up to $5 million for Niagara College to establish a Greenhouse Technology Network, $5 million for Brock University to establish the Brock-Niagara Validation, Prototyping and Manufacturing Institute, and $3 million for the City of Niagara Falls to establish the Niagara Falls-Ryerson Innovation Hub.
In total, these three investments are expected to create and maintain nearly 390 jobs.
Badawey says today's announcement means Niagara can create a more diverse economy, boosting our strong agri-business and digital media sectors, while adding good jobs for the region we call home.
