Niagara Dog Rescue hosting 'Dog Yoga' to showcase available dogs

CKTB - News - Dog Yoga

You've probably heard of baby goat yoga, but how about rescue dog yoga?

On September 29th, Niagara Dog Rescue will be hosting "Dog Yoga" featuring four-legged friends looking for their fur-ever homes.

Soul Fire Yoga will be on site at Lakeside Park Beach for the event, where you can take part in a yoga session and socialize with some available dogs.

Robin Tenhage from the Niagara Dog Rescue says the organization saves a lot of their dogs from kill shelters in the States.

Tenhage says most dogs they rescue are scheduled to be euthanized.

She says the organization needs more foster families to take dogs, and events like this are a great way to raise awareness for some of the dogs they have.

Most of the dogs at the event will be up for adoption.

Tickets are $20 in advance, $25 at the door.

Niagara Dog Rescue is a non-profit, completely volunteer run organization.
