Niagara expecting to get a few more cases of COVID as more March break travellers arrive home
Niagara is expecting a few cases of COVID-19 as more March break travellers arrive home from vacation.
Acting Medical Officer of Health Dr. Mustafa Hirji joined CKTB this morning saying he expects some vacation stragglers, who arrived back from vacation last week, will test positive.
Hirji says it is extremely important that people arriving home from vacation self-isolate for 14 days.
Niagara has 4 confirmed cases of the virus, compared to Hamilton which has 25.
Ontario's Ministry of Health announced 47 new cases of COVID-19 in the province Sunday morning, bringing the total number of cases to over 400.
Today's update offers little in the way of details, as most do not offer the community where the patient tested positive from.
Three people have now died in cases related to the novel coronavirus in Ontario.
