Niagara Regional Police looking for suspect in Welland sexual assault
Niagara Regional Police are looking for a suspect after a sexual assault in Welland this morning.
A woman in her 40s was jogging along a trail in the area of Prince Charles Drive and Fitch Street at 7 a.m. when an unknown man grabbed her and forced her to the ground.
The woman sustained minor injuries and was sexually assaulted before the man fled from the scene on foot.
The suspect is described as a 5'5 white man wearing dark pants and a black hoodie.
Members of the public are asked to avoid the area as the investigation continues.
