NPCA watching Lake Erie water levels
Niagara Peninsula Conservation Authority experts are warning residents along the Lake Erie shoreline to keep an eye on the water.
At last check, the water levels were sitting 66 cm above average, and were expected to rise by another 60 cm.
Coupled with the strong winds forecast for Niagara today, significant waves are expected all along the shoreline.
The water levels should peak around noon today.
Residents are warned to pay close attention to the water levels and are urged to stay away from the shoreline due to the strong waves and potential for increased erosion.
