One province is raising the age to buy legal weed
Cannabis laws in Quebec are getting even tighter.
The province is moving to ban the consumption of marijuana in most public areas starting on Saturday.
It also voted to raise the legal age from 18 to 21 years as of January 1st.
Cities will be allowed to adopt their own bylaws allowing people to smoke cannabis in specific public areas where no children are present.
The province's pot growers says the new law will push the most vulnerable consumers to the black market.
The age in Ontario to buy legal weed is 19.
