Online vigil tonight to honour slain Hamilton high school student
Today marks the one year anniversary of the death of a 14 year old Hamilton high school student.
It was on this day a year ago, Devan Selvey was brutally stabbed outside Sir Winston Churchill high school allegedly by another 14 year old.
Devan's murder shone a spotlight on bullying across the nation.
A virtual candlelight vigil is planned for tonight from 7 pm to 8 pm., although some people will be out front of the high school as well.
A notice on Facebook is asking for everyone to participate in the vigil, "to show our unity, peace and love, for his family and our school."
The post urges people to feel free to make signs of support with your family and friends and share them online for the Selvey's to see.
