Ontario Cannabis Store returns CannTrust products, cites 'non-conforming products'
More trouble for a cannabis grower with a greenhouse in Pelham as The Ontario Cannabis Store returns all their products.
The OCS is returning approximately $2.9 million worth of CannTrust's product because it does not conform with the supply agreement between the company and OCS.
Health Canada has not ordered a recall of any CannTrust products.
This comes after Health Canada flagged non-compliance issues at the company's greenhouses in Pelham and Vaughan.
CannTrust is accused of using unlicensed rooms at the greenhouses to store cannabis before official approval was granted.
Officials for the company say an internal investigation has been launched. Meanwhile the CEO was fired and the Chair of the Board of Directors stepped down.
