Ontario government launches 'Tackling Barriers' website for businesses
The provincial government is reaching out to businesses to get a better idea of the roadblocks the pandemic is causing.
A new website, 'COVID-19: Tackling the Barriers', launched yesterday offering businesses a chance to request temporary changes to regulations as they try to retool to help the frontline, operate remotely, or assist the health care system meet the needs of an emergency.
"Clearly, it is not business as usual for anyone, and that's why our government is prepared to temporarily adjust our processes, rules, and regulations to accommodate unforeseen circumstances." Associate Minister of Small Business and Red Tape Reduction Prabmeet Sarkaria says via a release.
