OPP report at least 5 deaths over Thanksgiving long weekend
The OPP are reporting a tragic long weekend after five people were killed on and off the road.
Officers responded to a total of four fatal collisions over the Thanksgiving Long Weekend.
Two children were killed in one crash involving a horse and buggy.
Three other people died in separate incidents, including a teenager and a motorcyclist.
OPP officials say this has been a particularly deadly year for motorcyclists with 38 fatalities, compared to 23 by this time last year.
Throughout the Thanksgiving weekend, officers handed out 6,246 traffic related charges.
Aggressive driving was the most popular infraction with 4,771 speeding charges laid.
