Police searching for suspects after two cyclists in Welland were injured

Police are looking for suspects after two men were injured while riding their bikes in Welland.

Officers were called to the Southworth Street and Victory Ave area last night around 6:40 p.m.

Officials say the pair were allegedly assaulted by two other men.

A 31 year old man was airlifted to an out-of-town hospital with life threatening injuries, while another 31 year old man was taken to a local hospital, treated, and released.

Detectives believe this was a targeted incident and ask anyone with more information, or possible surveillance footage, to contact police at (905) 688-4111, dial option 3, Badge #9221.
