Port Colborne taking staged approach to reopening playgrounds
Port Colborne is taking a staged approached to reopening local playgrounds.
H. H. Knoll Lakeview Park, Centennial Park, and Lock 8 Gateway Park are expected to reopen by the end of the day.
It could take some time to get the playgrounds safe for use as city staff remove fencing and barriers, clean, and inspect all the equipment.
Officials say if the fencing has been removed from your local playground and staff have cleared the area kids can use it, but if the barricades are still up, residents are asked to wait until staff complete the reopening measures.
