Prohibited driver arrested minutes after leaving courthouse
Police didn't have to go far to arrest a prohibited driver.
OPP in Orangeville arrested a 35 year old Mississauga man who allegedly climbed behind the wheel 5 minutes after a judge handed down a one year driving ban.
The sentence stemmed from a 2017 impaired driving case.
Police say they were able to catch up with the man after a Court officer witnessed him get into his vehicle and drive away.
His vehicle was impounded for 45 days and he now has another date with a judge at the end of this month.
