Province looking at reversing pitbull ban
There's word this morning the Ford government is rethinking the province's ban on pitbulls.
Attorney General Doug Downey's office confirming the government is considering all its options with regard to the Dog Owners' Liability Act which includes a ban on the canines.
Rick Nicholls, the MPP for Chatham Kent, is planning to introduce a private member's bill to lift the ban this fall.
Opponents of the legislation, brought in by the former Liberal government, argue it unfairly puts blame on the breed for dangerous behavior and not the owner.
