Remembrance Day ceremonies planned across Niagara
A number of Remembrance Day ceremonies are planned across Niagara on November 11.
Here is a list of the events:
Royal Canadian Legion Branch 24 will hold a service starting at City Hall 10:00 a.m., The parade to the Cenotaph will begin at 10:30 a.m., with the service at the Memorial Park Cenotaph, 6 St. Paul St West starting at 10:45 a.m.
Royal Canadian Legion Branch 138 will hold a service beginning at the Merritton Legion, at 10:30 a.m. with the service at the Cenotaph set for 11:00 a.m.
A service will be held at the Gale Centre at 5152 Thorold Stone Road at 11:00 a.m.
There will also be a service beside the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Fairview Cemetery at 11:00 a.m.
Legion Branch 4 hosts a service at 383 Morningstar Avenue at 10:45 a.m.
Another service will be health at the Welland Cenotaph in Chippawa Park beginning at 10:45 a.m.
A Cenotaph service is planned at Memorial Park at 13 Albert St E at 11:00 a.m.
There will be a service at Ridgeway Memorial Cemetery Cenotaph, Farr Avenue and Gorham Road at 11:00 a.m.
Another gathering will happen at Mather Arch, Niagara Parks Commission, Lakeshore Road, at 2:00 p.m
A service will be held a the Cenotaph at H.H. Knoll Lakeview Park, 143-179 Sugarloaf St, at 10:45 a.m.
There will be another service at the Cenotaph at Cedar Bay Centennial Park, 2767 Vimy Rd (St. John’s Lutheran Church), at 11:00 a.m.
A service is planned for the Queen Street Cenotaph, 26 Queen St, at 11:00 a.m.
At 1:00 p.m. there will also be a service at Brock’s Cenotaph at Niagara Parkway and Queenston Street (Queenston)
There will be a service at the Grimsby Cenotaph, Grimsby Museum, 6 Murray Street, at 10:30 a.m.
A service will take place at the Beamsville Cenotaph (Jacob Beam Public School), 5048 King St, at 11:00 a.m.
A Cenotaph service is planned at 172 St. Catharines Street, at 10:30 a.m.
The Fonthill Legion will host a service at, Veterans Park, 141 Hwy. 20 E, at 10:45 a.m.
There will be a service at the Wainfleet Cenotaph, 31940 Highway 3, at 10:45 a.m.
