St. Catharines councillor wants better bike infrastructure
If St. Catharines councillor Karrie Porter has her way, there would be more bike lanes in the city and around the Region.
The councillor tweeted about a harrowing experience in St. Catharines recently.
Porter says with an increase in traffic around Niagara there's a need for better bike infrastructure.
She tells CKTB studies show protected bike lanes make streets safer for cyclists and drivers
Porter is on a regional transportation committee where she says they will have discussions on bike lanes.
