St. Catharines' Guided Spirit Walks go virtual
The City of St. Catharines is going virtual to keep the traditional fall Spirit Walks alive.
Due to the ongoing pandemic, the annual Guided Spirit Walks at Victoria Lawn Cemetery will be happening online this year.
On September 12th and 19th the St. Catharines Museum and Welland Canals Centre will present two Youtube livestream events.
St. Catharines museum visitor services coordinator Adrian Petry says the theme is 'Playing Favourites: Stories From the Past.'
"We've picked some scenes from previous years just because doing a new tour every year is awesome but it is quite an undertaking and it takes a lot of time and we weren't really sure, like everyone, we weren't really sure what September was going to be like."
The events will also feature pre-show chats with the cast and crew.
The pre-show will kick off at 6:30 p.m. followed by the main event at 7 p.m.
Anyone interested is asked to register by emailing or calling the museum.
The event is available by donation.
Tim and Rob ask the question: How long can these high house prices last?
Not Suicide. Not Today. was launched this month by the Centre for Mental Health and Addiction to mark September as Suicide Prevention Month. CAMH hopes Not Today. will keep the conversation about suicide going beyond September. But a lot of people are uncomfortable and worried about saying the wrong thing. On Life Unscripted this week Janice Arnoldi talks to Dr. Juveria Zaheer, who is an emergency room psychiatrist and researcher at CAMH about how to talk about suicide and about the Not Today. campaign.
