A suspended driver from St.Catharines has been charged after a weekday R.I.D.E campaign.

Last evening, Niagara police conducted R.I.D.E. spot checks in Niagara Falls.

Officers stopped about 300 vehicles overnight, and asked if any of the drivers had consumed any alcohol or drugs earlier in the evening.

In total, 8 drivers were asked to provide a breath sample.

During one of the traffic stops, an officer found that a 48-year-old man from St.Catharines was suspended from driving in Ontario.

He was charged with driving while under suspension.
