Three car fires in Welland spark investigation
Welland fire officials are looking into a number of car fires.
Deputy Chief Adam Eckhart tells CKTB they are working with police following three fires at the same location in four days.
It happened Thursday, Friday and Sunday nights at a property at Hagar and Burgar Streets.
The fires were set in scrapped cars which are used for parts.
Eckhart says all three incidents appear to be connected and are being considered suspicious.
He says police have increased patrols in the area.
He also said public safety should not be an issue for people who live in the area.
