Town of Lincoln to hold open houses on cannabis production in the community
A couple of open houses set for this month in Lincoln as the town considers proposed amendments to its official plan and zoning by-laws to accomodate cannabis production facilities in the community.
The open houses are set for Tuesday October 22nd and Wednesday October 23rd.
The first one is at Town Hall from 2-4 p.m., the second at the Lincoln Community Centre from 6-8 p.m.
A public meeting will take place November 11th in Council Chambers at 6 p.m.
The town is proposing to change its official plan to consider legal cannabis cultivation and production on a case-by-case scenario within specialty agricultural and prime agricultural designations.
The proposed changes to the zoning by-law would be to permit legal canabis production within agricultural zones, set regulations for setbacks from other zones, deal with air treatment issues and set regulations pertaining to outdoor storage.
