Traffic closures Sunday morning in St. Catharines for Royal cavalcade
There will be some traffic closures in St. Catharines on Sunday as a member of the Royal family visits the Region.
The Duchess of Edinburgh, Sophie Helen Rhys-Jones, will be the royal guest at a Remembrance Service at 10 a.m. at the St. Catharines Cenotaph Sunday.
Rhys-Jones is married to Prince Edward, Duke of Edinburgh, the youngest sibling of King Charles III.
She is in St. Catharines to crown a winner in the Wessex Cup, a military challenge being held at the Lincoln and Welland Regiment on Saturday.
The City of St. Catharines says there will be road closures impacting Welland Avenue, Ontario Street, Lake Street, James Street, Church Street, St. Paul Street, and Westchester Avenue.
The closures will accommodate the Duchess of Edinburgh's cavalcade, and the marching of soldiers from the Lake Street Armoury.
Closures will begin at approximately 7 a.m. and will begin to open again at noon. Click here to see a map.
