Two 11 yr old girls save 60 yr old heart attack victim

The Ottawa Paramedic Service is recognizing two 11-year-old girls credited with helping to save the life of a heart attack victim.

The service says Juliet Murphy and Darcy Power ran for help after spotting a man who had collapsed near a city park on Saturday.

It says the girls found a passerby to call 9-1-1 while two other bystanders started C-P-R until paramedics arrived to re-start the man's heart.

The 60-year-old patient was taken to hospital in critical condition.
