Two women arrested again in bank fraud investigation in Niagara
Two women have been arrested once again in Niagara accused of being involved in a bank fraud scheme.
Over the summer Niagara police received complaints from a bank regarding the creation of fraudulent accounts.
The Central Fraud Unit arrested 26 year old Kiona Campbell of no fixed address and charged her with fraud over $5000 and breach of a recognizance order.
Also arrested was 28 year old Marissa MacDonald of St. Catharines.
MacDonald is charged with one count of Breach of Recognizance Order.
Both will appear for a bail hearing tomorrow.
Back in April the two were arrested after an investigation looking at 69 counts of identity fraud.
Police allege the pair used social media to collect names and birthdates from "friends" and then used the information to create bank accounts.
