United Way campaign launch aims to make local issues #Unignorable
The United Way of Niagara has set their goal for this year's campaign at $5,250,000.
This year's campaign uses the hashtag #Unignorable, as officials ask all residents to donate to support local causes, such as food banks, community support programs, and kids activities.
Things got off to a good start with this morning's campaign launch breakfast where Performance Auto Group presented a cheque for $80,000 from the UW Golf Tournaments.
This is the second campaign for United Way Niagara after United Way Niagara Falls and Greater Fort Erie, United Way South Niagara, and United Way St. Catharines and District amalgamated.
Last year they were able to raise $5,203,000.
City Council approved sharp bins in the community to try and cut down on needles found in public spaces.
Residents being concerned about the future of their urgent care centers. This comes after the announcement this week of the new hospital in Niagara Falls moving forward.
