UPDATE | OPP release name of driver involved in one of two crashes on 406 in St. Catharines
OPP have not released the names of the victims killed this morning in a wrong way crash on the 406 in St. Catharines.
Sgt. Kerry Schmidt says the pair were travelling the right way on the highway at 1:18 this morning when a wrong way vehicle hit them head on near Glendale Ave.
The driver of the wrong way car remains in hospital with serious injuries.
Schmidt says no charges have been laid but the investigation is ongoing.
Meanwhile, 21 year old Blake Skala of St. Catharines has been charged with impaired driving after a single vehicle accident just after midnight on the 406 near Westchester.
Skala was ejected from his vehicle that rolled several times.
He remains in hospital with serious injuries.
