US Border Protection Agency reports 1000 percent increase in narcotics seizures

US Customs and Border Protection is reporting a 1000 percent increase in narcotic seizures at the Buffalo Field Office.

New stats released for the 2020 fiscal year show over 40,600 pounds of narcotics were seized at the 16 ports of entry throughout New York State.

In all, officers made 732 drug related seizures.

Marijuana accounted for the most incidents, followed by prescriptions, and steroids.

The first race post time is 2:10 p.m. with the Prince of Wales race scheduled for just before 5:40 p.m. Due to COVID-19 restrictions the track is closed to spectators, but fans can watch the broadcast on TSN beginning at 5 p.m.
