Wage subsidy program for Canadians extended till end of August
The federal emergency wage subsidy program is being extended until at least the end of August.
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau says the idea is to give employers more runway and the confidence to resume operations slowly if they have to.
The program covers 75% of an eligible company's payroll.
It was originally set to expire in the first week of June.
