Walk for Dog Guides needs your support
Dog Guides in Niagara are hoping for some community support during the Pet Valu Walk for Dog Guides.
So far, the annual walk has raised more than $17 million with 100% of the fund raised supporting seven Dog Guide programs including guides for vision and hearing needs, seizures, autism, diabetes, and physical disabilities.
Dog Guides are also used to provide support following traumatic situations.
Lions Foundation of Dog Guides provides dogs at no cost and with no government funding - each pup costs $25,000 to breed, train, and match.
Walks are being held in Grimsby, Niagara Falls, and Jordan on May 26th, St. Catharines will host an event on June 9th, and Port Colborne gets a turn on May 19th.
