Warning about baby powder from Health Canada
A warning about baby powder coming from two government agencies today.
Health Canada and Environment and Climate Change Canada say exposure could cause serious respiratory effects and possibly ovarian cancer.
The government has completed a draft assessment and says if its final assessment confirms that talc is harmful to human health, it will take action to manage the risks.
They are also advising people not put the powder close to a baby's face, and for women not to use powder on feminine hygiene products.
