Broadcaster honoured by Lindsay Sports Hall of Fame

A former broadcaster of CKLY will be inducted into Lindsay’s Sports Hall of Fame for 2019.

Bob Eakins, who passed away just over a year ago, was the voice of hockey for the LIndsay Muskies, Peterborough Petes and the LIttle Britain Merchants for decades.

Also on the list are coach Dave Wakelin, the late black-belt, medal winner James Martin, the Lindsay Junior C hockey team from 1972-75 and hockey player Hugh Cameron. 

The induction ceremony takes place on October 20 in Lindsay.
