The Weeknd Tops Hot 100 Chart With 'Heartless'


The Weeknd’s new single “Heartless” was the biggest song in the U.S. in its second week of release, according to Billboard.

The track blasted to No. 1 on the Hot 100 chart dated Dec. 14 after debuting at No. 32. It also rose from No. 14 to the top of the R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart and from No. 3 to No. 1 on the Hot R&B Songs chart.

“Heartless” is the fourth No. 1 for The Weeknd and his ninth Top 10 hit. The Canadian singer previously held the top spot with “Starboy” in 2017 and “Can’t Feel My Face” and “The Hills” in 2015.

The Weeknd’s second new song “Blinding Lights” debuted at No. 11 on the Billboard Hot 100.

Other Canadians on this week’s Hot 100 in the U.S. are Drake, who is featured on Chris Brown’s “No Guidance” (No. 14) and Shawn Mendes, whose collaboration with Camila Cabello, "Señorita," is No. 15. Justin Bieber is at No. 50 with his Ed Sheeran duet “I Don’t Care.”

On the Canadian Hot 100 chart, The Weeknd's “Blinding Lights” is No. 2 and “Heartless” is No. 3.
