Lindsay, Ont. (November 20, 2019) – iHeartRadio Canada’s 91.9 BOB FM announced today the launch of its all-new morning show hosted by veteran radio personality Vanessa Murphy. Beginning Monday, Nov. 25, listeners across the Lindsay and Kawartha Lakes Region can kick off the day from 5:30-10 a.m. ET with favourites from the “80s, 90s, and whatever,” along with plenty of vibrant conversation and lots of laughs.
Murphy’s bold and dynamic energy has been honed during her 16 years in the radio industry, most recently at iHeartRadio Canada’s Pure Country 105 in Peterborough as Music Director, as well as Midday Host at Peterborough’s Energy 99.7. Prior to joining Bell Media, Murphy was an on-air host for Toronto’s boom 97.3.
“I’m honoured and excited to join 91.9 BOB FM mornings and look forward to waking up with listeners across Lindsay and The Kawartha Lakes Region,” said host Vanessa Murphy. “If you drive by the studio next week, you’ll likely see me playing air guitar to Aerosmith! And I’m soooo looking forward to meeting our listeners at the Kinsmen Toy Drive Broadcast on December 7.”
“Lindsay and Kawartha Lakes Region are going to LOVE waking up with Vanessa Murphy on BOB FM,” said Brian Young, Program Director, Bell Media Peterborough. “Her amazing attitude and fun personality will be a wonderful addition to the team at BOB and we’re really excited about what’s to come!”
Playing hits from the 80s, 90s, and whatever, 91.9 BOB FM is a proud supporter of local events including the Kinsmen Toy Drive, hosted by the Lindsay Kinsman Club, which has been generously providing Christmas gifts to less fortunate children and families in need in The Kawartha Lakes since 1947.
