Six More Motorists Charged with Stunt Driving on Hwy 6 on July 6th

DRIVERS NOT GETTING THE MESSAGE!
(NORTHERN BRUCE PENINSULA, ON) - On Monday, July 6, 2020 on Highway 6, north of Wiarton, in Northern Bruce Peninsula, Grey Bruce OPP charged six more motorists for stunt driving - 50km/h or more over the posted speed limit, contrary to section 172(1) Highway Traffic Act (HTA).
20 year old, of East York, ON was travelling over 145 kilometres per hour (km/h) in a black car in a posted 80 km/h zone.
47 year old, of Bradford-West Gwillimbury, ON was travelling over 145 km/h in a black sport utility vehicle (suv) in a posted 80 km/h zone.
18 year old, of Caledon, ON was travelling over 135 km/h in a black suv in a posted 80 km/h zone.
35 year old, of Hanover, ON was travelling over 135 km/h in a white suv in a posted 80 km/h zone.
28 year old, of Oakville, ON was travelling over 160 km/h in a white suv, in a posted 80 km/h zone.
19 year old, of Cobourg, ON was travelling over 140 km/h in an orange car, in a posted 80 km/h zone.
All of these drivers were issued a provincial summons to attend court, a 7 day drivers licence suspension and their vehicles were towed and impounded for 7 days.
The Grey-Bruce OPP want to remind motorists that speeding is one of the leading causes of deaths on our highways.
