Two Charged With Drug Offences

TWO CHARGED WITH DRUG OFFENCES
On September 1, 2020 Neyaashiinigmiing Police, along with the assistance of Grey Bruce Ontario Provincial Police, charged two people in connection with an ongoing investigation into local drug trafficking.
Police conducted a vehicle stop on Coveney's Road, South Bruce Peninsula, just outside the First Nation Community of Neyaashiinigmiing. A continued investigation led to the arrest of a male and female occupant of the vehicle.
A quantity of illicit drugs, including Fentanyl, Cocaine and Oxycodone were seized.
Sharon STANISH, 40 years old from Neyaashiinigmiing, and Charles KEESHIG, 32 years old from Neyaashiinigmiing, were each charged with three counts of Possession of a Schedule I Drug for the Purpose of Trafficking.
The accused parties were released on an Undertaking pending a future court date.
